Showing journalistic instincts from a young age (he even enrolled at the Professional Journalism Workshop, attending… a grand total of two classes), he later became a DJ in various clubs around Rhodes during the 1980s. At the same time, he developed an interest in the then newly emerging field of marketing in Greece, which he eventually chose to study in Thessaloniki.
There, in December 1981, he launched what was then a “pirate” station, Radio1, which later evolved into what it is today. He worked in his formal profession, marketing, for just three years, serving as Sales Manager at Coca-Cola. But radio was always there… waiting in the background.
The rest is history.
